Adilabad, August 15: In Adilabad district, the 78th Independence Day celebrations were held with grandeur on Thursday at the district police parade ground. Advisor to Government of Telangana (SC, ST, OBC & Minorities) Mohammed Ali Shabbir, hoisted the national flag in the presence of District Collector Rajarshi Shah, District SP Ghouse Alam and other senior officials.
After receiving the police Guard of Honour, Shabbir Ali made an official address highlighting the state government’s proactive approach in resolving public issues. He stated that the State Government, headed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, began implementing promises made to the people within 48 hours of coming to power, including conducting Indiramma Gram Sabhas to collect applications from the public for scheme implementation.
Students from various schools showcased cultural programmes that fostered patriotism, and those who delivered outstanding performances were awarded certificates of appreciation. Government employees who provided exemplary services in various departments were also honoured with certificates. Additionally, officials visited stalls set up by different government departments.
