Hyderabad, March 11: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu and Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir reviewed arrangements for Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s grand Iftar during a high-level meeting held at Praja Bhavan on Tuesday.
The review meeting was also attended by TMREIS President Fahim Qureshi, Special Secretary for Minorities Welfare Tafseer Iqbal and Minorities Welfare Department Director Yasmeen Basha.
During the meeting, plans were finalised for the grand ‘Dawat-e-Iftar’ event to be hosted by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at LB Stadium in Hyderabad on March 21 or 22.
During the same meeting, the High-Power Committee also decided to immediately release Rs 21 crore towards three months’ pending salaries for Imams and Muezzins across the state. Shabbir Ali stated that the government is committed to ensuring timely payments and welfare measures for the minority community, especially during the holy month of Ramzan.
The meeting further approved grand Iftar arrangements in 815 mosques across Telangana, including Hyderabad. Each mosque will receive Rs 1 lakh to organise Iftar gatherings, ensuring widespread participation and community engagement.
Shabbir Ali emphasised that the State Government is making elaborate arrangements for the CM’s Dawat-e-Iftar at LB Stadium and also at 815 mosques across Telangana State. (eom)
