Hyderabad, September 14: Advisor to the Telangana Government (SC, ST, OBC & Minorities) Mohammed Ali Shabbir has called on newly appointed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud to ensure greater representation of weaker sections in the new TPCC body.
During a courtesy meeting at Shabbir Ali’s residence in Jubilee Hills on Saturday, the two leaders discussed several key issues, including the current political scenario in the state. They also deliberated on the composition of the new TPCC, which is set to be approved by the Congress High Command.
Shabbir Ali emphasized the importance of including representatives from Dalits, Tribals, OBCs, and minorities in the new team. He pointed out that the new TPCC would face the dual challenge of taking the government’s welfare schemes directly to the people and defending the policies of the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Therefore, he suggested the inclusion of both senior leaders and young leaders in the team to balance experience and energy.
Expressing confidence in Mahesh Kumar Goud’s leadership, Shabbir Ali said he believed that the new TPCC president would elevate the party and lead it to success in the upcoming elections.
In response, Mahesh Kumar Goud assured Shabbir Ali that he would take guidance from senior leaders while also working closely with the youth to strengthen the party. (eom)
