Hyderabad, October 30: Congress senior leader and Advisor to the Telangana Government Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Thursday said that the Congress government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had restored the people’s confidence by implementing welfare-oriented and inclusive policies within a short span of time.

Speaking during a door-to-door campaign in the Erragadda division of Jubilee Hills constituency, conducted along with Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and other party leaders in support of Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, Shabbir Ali said that the Congress government had shown commitment to equality and representation across all sections of society. He remarked that “the Congress government’s actions reflect delivery, not deception,” stressing that it had begun reversing years of neglect suffered under the previous regime.

He said the Revanth Reddy-led government’s governance model was focused on empowerment through practical reforms, transparent recruitment, and social justice. The inclusion of minority professionals in key state bodies, the expansion of educational opportunities, and the representation of all communities in government appointments were cited as major achievements of the current administration.

Shabbir Ali highlighted that several qualified members from minority communities had been appointed to responsible positions, including a Muslim Additional Advocate General, government pleaders and Dr Amir Ullah Khan in the Telangana State Public Service Commission. These appointments, he said, underscored the Congress government’s sincerity towards inclusion.

He further stated that Congress had ensured fairness in public recruitment and strengthened existing welfare institutions. “The present government is not working for headlines; it is working for the people,” he said, adding that schemes and appointments were being implemented without discrimination. He said thousands of minority youth, under the BC-E category, benefited from the recent recruitment drives taken up by the Congress Government.

Further, the government sanctioned one Minority Law College and two Pharmacy Colleges and added 2,200 new engineering seats in minority institutions. In the latest DSC recruitment drive for 10,006 posts, 720 candidates were from minority communities, a step Shabbir Ali described as “clear evidence of inclusive opportunity.”

Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said that the Congress party was rebuilding Telangana on the principles of justice and equality that had been weakened under the previous government. He appealed to the people of Jubilee Hills to support Naveen Yadav, describing him as a candidate who represented the Congress vision of welfare-driven governance.

During the campaign, party leaders interacted with residents and distributed brochures detailing the achievements of the Revanth Reddy government. Shabbir Ali said that the government’s efforts had proved that “Congress delivers on its promises – not just in words, but through visible action.” (eom)
